SUCKER PUNCH

Red has a heat producing effect like no other colour, getting the blood pumping and energy flowing. A hit of crimson is like a bang-on punch to the face - it doesn’t mess around with pushing and shoving but gets straight to the core, molten point. Wham Bam colour, thank you very much.

The one colour ensembles of late are brave and bold, but a sneaky streak of ruby red gives just as much kick if your not that way inclined.

So fire up people, because it’s getting cold.

PEEPSHOW

Daphne Guinness launched her six week collaboration with Barneys New York by a little bit of public party prepping.

Nothing short of spectacular - but what do you expect from the fashion muse - Guinness theatrically donned her ostrich feathered Alexander McQueen gown in front of hundreds of spectators before The Costume Institute Gala Savage Beauty retrospective at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The performance is the first of many installations using 26 pieces of Guinness’s archival collection and that of the late Isabella Blow, which Guinness inherited in its entirety.

Challenging our preconceived perception of art, theatre and fashion with some fabulously literal window dressing. Genius.
